 For our Base Maintenance Station in Altenrhein, Cantone St. Gallen, Switzerland, we are looking for a

 Aircraft Engineer DHC6

Your main tasks:

  • Perform the duties of an Aircraft Lead Mechanic and project manager
  • Perform scheduled / unscheduled base maintenance activity and troubleshooting in full compliance with specifications of pertinent authorities, manufacturer’s recommendations and general rules, applicable to works performed on aircraft/components
  • Completion of paper work and the technical documents as required for works performed on aircraft / components
  • Perform relief duties on other Zimex line stations as requested and takes care of all possible activities related to the line station
  • Independent performance of work in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations
  • Deployment as an independent Field Service Engineer / Trouble-shooter
  • Keep up to date with the aircraft systems, technology, processes and procedures
  • Other duties as directed by the Head of Technical Service


Your qualifications:

  • Must hold EASA Part 66 B1 or equivalent foreign license
  • Must hold a DHC6 aircraft type rating
  • Minimum work experience 10 years
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Good knowledge of PC and ability to work with different computer systems
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels inside and outside of the organization
  • Effective supervisory skills in directing employees to achieve departmental goals
  • Effective analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
