Base Maintenance Mechanic

for our maintenance facility in Altenrhein, St. Gallen

Founded in 1969, ZIMEX AVIATION, based in Switzerland and holder of a EASA Air Operator Certificate, is active in the field of Special Mission Aviation, with aircraft operations in Africa, the Middle East and Asia and since 2016 also with a European express freight operation.

Our own EASA Part 145 maintenance Organization assures that scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is performed to the highest quality standards in the field by our own engineers, who form an integral part of our crew.

Your main tasks

  • Performing of scheduled / unscheduled maintenance activity and troubleshooting in full compliance with specifications of pertinent authorities, manufacturer’s instruction and general rules applicable to works performed on aircraft/components
  • Troubleshooting of aircraft systems as per manufactures instructions
  • Performing of mechanic repairs and minor structural repairs as per manufacturer’s instruction
  • Performing of system adjustments and operational checks
  • Rectification of snags during flight operations
  • Vertifying that all work is complete, paperwork signed and technical documents correctly completed prior to aircraft delivery
  • Checking of the availability of the necessary work documents and maintenance manuals

Your qualifications

  • Apprenticeship as a mechanic or similar education
  • Additional training as an airplane mechanic B1
  • 3 Years’ experience in Base and/or Line Maintenance
  • Good English knowledge
  • PC skills (Word/Excel)
  • Multifunctional applicability as well as independent working
  • High reliability
